Let’s be real—Apple’s current ads make one thing painfully clear: they’re chasing trends, not setting them. And in tech, relying on a glowing reputation or an iconic logo isn’t enough anymore. Real value for the user is everything. That’s why we were extra excited to check out TCL at IFA—a brand that’s impossible to miss.
Now, everyone has their tech preferences. Some love being fully immersed in a single ecosystem, where everything is connected and life is “effortlessly synced.” Sounds dreamy, right? But then you ask yourself…do I really want to hand over every little detail of my life to one company? And do I want to lose flexibility—both creatively and just in day-to-day use? TCL gets it. Their lineup spans everything from smart air conditioners to washers, fridges, and of course, their Heritage display category. But the magic isn’t just in the range—it’s in the extras.
Case in point: my old 65” TV from a Dutch brand cost a whopping €3,800. And yet…no Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Nope. Want to listen privately? Grab a 10-meter cable. Or the TV randomly turns off on a Saturday night to “calibrate” the screen mid-show. Alexa connections dropping constantly? Check. Controls getting sluggish over time? Check. Annoying doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Enter TCL. High-tech, packed with features, and at a jaw-dropping fraction of the price. A 65” TCL TV? One-seventh of what I paid. And the screens keep getting bigger: 95”? No problem. Instant home cinema. Perfect for movie nights, sports, binge-watching, or gaming marathons with friends. Never a dull moment.
No space for a massive screen? No worries. TCL’s projectors deliver gigantic, crisp, high-contrast images right on your wall. Like a cinema, but in your living room. Here’s the catch though: not all projectors are created equal. Make sure they’re Netflix and Disney+ compatible. Seems obvious, but many lack licenses. And forget about just streaming or Blu-rays—they need DRM support. Otherwise, that gorgeous picture is basically useless.
All of this can get technical, sure. But the easiest way? Dive in and experience it firsthand. And that’s exactly what we’re doing next in the MCC7—Mission Control Center of G-FOR7E, where the coolest gadgets for home and on-the-go come alive. Buckle up—it’s going to be fun. We’re already buzzing with excitement.
