DAY SEVEN: OUR FIRST DISCOVERY COMES TO AN END

Welcome back to the last day of our journey. The time has come to say goodbye to Berlin. But before we leave the city, we discover its former west center and, there, the beautiful boulevard Kurfürstendamm. Besides the Brandenburg Gate and its surrounding area, the so-called Ku’damm belongs to the most important places in the city. Moreover, the here located Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is another popular symbol of Berlin.

CUTE ANIMALS & COMMITTED CONSERVATION OF SPECIES

Gorilla in the Zoo Berlin

There are good reasons to think about zoos in a critical way. Together with Emilie, however, we had the pleasure of being guided by Dr. Tobias Rahde through the Berlin Zoo. The sympathetic biologist, who is responsible for the birds and the protection of species in the zoo, has given us a deeper insight into the work and the importance of the park.

So, visit with us the cute meerkats, pandas and sea lions. Moreover, learn more about animal conservation and preservation from page 64.

FROM THE ROOTS TO MODERN STYLES OF JAZZ

Then, follow us to the cozy Zig Zag Club to learn more about jazz. Besides, feel invited to listen to a jam session of Dimitris Christides, who is the owner of the club, and Jens Fischer Rodrian. Do you remember that guy? We met the art director of the Blue Man Group on the first day of our Berlin journey high up in the Panoramapunkt. As you will see, he is also a great jazz musician.

THE LAST DINNER

Hopefully, restaurants and bars can reopen soon. Of course, in line with the new Corona pandemic rules.

In times like this, we especially remember Emilie’s last dinner in the wonderful Duke Restaurant, which is located in the Ellington Hotel. Experience together with Emilie one of the finest diners in Berlin, before we close the Berlin chapter.

7 DAYS IN…

We, the VALEUR GUIDES, are a group of friends who discover many different places under the motto: ONE WORLD. A goal is to meet people with exciting stories to tell.

Thereby, we will discover new places for 7 days each. From there, we will present seven intensive, emotional and entertaining video episodes about people with exciting stories to tell. Furthermore, we will deal with their place’s culture, traditions, history, lifestle, art, leisure activities and, thus, many values.

Additionally, we will present stories and facts in supplementing issues of the VALEUR MAGAZINE.
