The tension of the last few months finally dissolves and turns out to be the catharsis of THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, the eleventh studio album by Taylor Swift.
It’s an album that springs from the melancholic pen of a tormented poet and processes heartbreak in the form of musical essays. Against all expectations, the pop icon froze the world with the announcement: it’s a double album.
The 14-time Grammy winner and most-streamed global artist of 2023 credits the album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT as her lifeline that reminded her why songwriting is so important to her. Swift has been working on the album for over two years, showcasing her unique storytelling skills.
We can only imagine the unbearable weight on the shoulders of the beautiful talented musician, who is a role model for more than just her fans. Because of her strong personality and cleverness, she has become an icon for many people, especially in the USA.
She radiates hope and love for a better future. Taylor Swift wisely holds back when it comes to political statements. However, certainly, she will find the perfect words at the right time.
Until then, with the digital album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT – THE ANTHOLOGY she gives us, incredibly, 31 songs that are about falling in love, falling out of love, and everything in between.
The opener of the work Fortnight is an illustrator of the following themes and the first single from the album. Along with Post Malone, Taylor Swift opens the tortured poets section by looking back on two formative weeks of her life.
Sensations from a time of pain awaken to a sound that couldn’t be more typical and yet reflects a new side of the singer.
I´d written so much tortured poetry in the last 2 years and wanted to share it with all of you!
In doing so, she closes the chapter of a painful phase and metaphorically frees herself from the sad end of a love story. The album is now available digitally, on CD, and on vinyl in various versions.
