What happens when your life takes a sudden turn at 16 and you become a superstar? And what happens next? What’s life like for these young rockstars? What highs and lows do they experience? Twin brothers Bill and Tom spill it all in the new Netflix series: Kaulitz & Kaulitz.
TOKIO HOTEL
Back when he was just 14, Bill Kaulitz was told on a German talent show that he didn’t have enough talent. Maybe this sparked a rebellious fire to prove the critics wrong. Just two years later, nearly 20 years ago, with their band Tokio Hotel and the mega-hit Monsoon, the brothers made their international breakthrough.
NETFLIX SHOWS THE REAL WORLD OF BILL & TOM KAULITZ
Since Monsoon stirred up a whirlwind of fan euphoria and hater backlash, the twins have been through a lot. From their literal escape to L.A. to major heartbreaks and even bigger dramas, Bill and Tom have had to constantly reinvent themselves in a rapidly changing media world. The challenge? Staying true to themselves. They dive into all these topics and more in their Netflix series, Kaulitz & Kaulitz.
Curious about what life behind the scenes is like for former rockstars? The series gives you a front-row seat. Over eight months, the Kaulitz twins let Netflix cameras capture their lives up close, resulting in an intimate and personal documentary.
THE KAULITZ & KAULITZ FRIENDS SCREENING IN BERLIN
Bill, especially, wanted to show everything and keep it balanced. We caught up with him at the Berlin premiere on the pink carpet. He shared that he even added scenes back in that the production team had originally deemed too personal.
With Kaulitz & Kaulitz, the brothers want to show us that their lives have many layers, not just glitz and glamour. In eight episodes, they take us on a wild, emotional, and intimate ride through their lives in Los Angeles and Germany.
So, if you’re ready for a stormy Monsoon of reality, comedy, and drama, follow Bill and Tom Kaulitz in their series, Kaulitz & Kaulitz, streaming on Netflix from today.
