Since childhood, music has been a safe space for Paula Dalla Corte.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Paula, however, quickly developed music from a hobby just for herself into a stepping stone into the big world. After her father registered her, by the way without her knowledge, for The Voice of Germany at age 18, and the initial shock was over, Paula immediately got her first place because of her talent.
She used the success to move to Los Angeles, gaining experience in the hotspot of the entertainment industry. Of course, it was an important step in the musician’s life. She met well-known producers in L.A. and learned to fight her way through. Nevertheless, she looked for something else: genuineness and authenticity.
And that’s exactly what her new single Ugly Beauty is about. On that record, she questions what true beauty is. Moreover, what does pretty or ugly truly mean? Can people see true beauty, even if it sometimes seems ugly?
PAULA DALLA CORTE ASKS: BITE ME
Besides, Paula Dalla Corte released her single Bite Me back in February. There are approximately 5,650 miles, or almost 9,100 kilometers, between the wild unpredictability of Berlin-Kreuzberg and California’s dreamy West Coast melancholy.

Two opposite extremes from which Paula Dalla Corte was inspired. In Bite Me, ethereal Americana melancholy merges with a heady indie-pop catchiness and an edgy glam-punk extravaganza. So, Paula creates her very own style clash. Listen to it, it is worth it.
