During the Xmas season, there are some must-see movies. Thus, we have raffled off a few for you. Others are, of course, Home Alone with Macaulay Culkin, and Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. Furthermore, Die Hard with Bruce Willis is also a must, as well as It’s a Wonderful Life starring James Stewart and Donna Reed. However, a special film that is even somewhat comparable to Scrooged (see tomorrow) because of its story is Trading Places from 1983.
Trading Places is about the snobby businessman, Louis Winthorpe III, played by Dan Aykroyd, who has to be brought out of his elitist bubble.
And he will do so in a very drastic way. Because his bosses, the Duke Brothers, want to see what happens if Louis suddenly becomes poor and a beggar on the street suddenly becomes rich.
As the beggar, they chose Billy Ray Valentine, played by Eddie Murphy. In any case, the interaction between Louis and Billy Ray is simply brilliant and hilarious. Both receive support from the prostitute Ophelia (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Louis Butler Coleman (Denholm Elliott).
The whole movie is just hilarious, and the Santa Claus scene is iconic. Anyone who doesn’t know it has a lack of education when it comes to movies.
So, that you can close this gap or admire the film in the new 4K version, we are giving away a 4K UHD edition. Answer the simple question (until Dec 28).
